2017 Kylie's Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc
Top 100 Wines or 2018, Sonoma Magazine

Made from our Certified Sustainable Vineyards, tropical notes play a key role in the harmony of this Sauvignon Blanc. Balanced fermentation practices with half of the wine fermented in stainless steel and the other in French oak barrels allows this Sauvignon Blanc to retain fresh fruit flavors with high tone tropical flavors while remaining rich and full on the palate. Pineapple, guava, cantaloupe, and lemon zest fill the glass and will call you back again and again. Bright rich acidity is complemented by a full round palate and long finish. Huge flavors of ripe cantaloupe and honeydew fill this wine while kiwi and lime play quietly around them. This is a complex Sauvignon Blanc made for not only for the fresh spring air and summertime fun, but for every season and occasion.
The 2017 Kylie’s Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc brings a lot of firsts for this vintage. It is the first release by our new winemaker, Bobby Donnell. It also features the Sonoma County Sustainably Farmed Grapes logo on the label as part of the new initiative from the Sonoma County Winegrowers Association. We’re proud to be leaders in this for our community. And it is the first wine that Kylie, who recently graduated from the University of Arizona, will be selling in her new role as Dutton Estate Brand Ambassador.
We specifically choose the Musqué clone from the Shop Block and Mrs. George vineyards in Green Valley for the 2017 vintage. The Shop Block fruit was aged in barrels and the Mrs. George grapes in stainless steel tanks. After four months, they were blending together capturing the fresh fruit and tropical flavors. There’s an effervescence at the tail end that we love too.
