2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir Blushing Sisters
Dutton Ranch farms more than 80 separate vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Our Rosé of Pinot Noir is affectionately called Blushing Sisters after Tracy and Joe’s three daughters – Kyndall, Kylie, and Karmen Isabella. At Dutton Estate, our six generations of farmers have always felt connected to the land and we are proud to lead this initiative with other grape growers. The vineyards are certified Sonoma County Sustainably-Farmed and FishFriendly. They are dry-farmed and historically produces grapes of consistent character
Our limited production Blushing Sister’s Rosé of Pinot Noir is harvested from Dutton Ranch’s Manzana, Green Valley, Thomas Road, Jewell Block, and Kozlowski Vineyards in the cool Russian River Valley. This wine is 100% Saignée and a blend of the Dutton Estate PN vineyards. Fresh, expressive pink juice is drawn off the top of just crushed Pinot Noir tanks and allowed 4-6 hour skin contact. The juice was then transferred to stainless steel fermentation in small lots for 14 days. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was racked to neutral oak barrels to age until bottling.
This wine is a rose color that presents a medley of aromas, peach, melon and fresh strawberry and raspberry. The aromas in the glass follow on the palate. White peach flesh and strawberry take the lead as pink grapefruit and cantaloupe follow behind with lychee nut and light mineral complexities. This is a bright, crisp rosé that will hold up to any backyard party or pool side chat.
